Child Holocaust Diary Pt.53-9-43 Dear Diary, Oh joy! Ive done it! Ive work hard enough! I am a little bigger now...its a little odd, my bones ache and I cannot stand straight or lift much, or even dig deep-but I am ready! Today a dark man came up to me, and in that awful, gruff voice told me tomorrow Ill be taken to the building on the hill! We are all tired, even the grown-up men. Older men who are tired...I dont see many. They are taken away. Maybe theyve all earnt their freedom? Oh I hope they have! We all work hoping that if we work hard, we shall be free. Maybe if I work harder, Ill be free of this place and back home! Too bad Mother and Father cannot join me...I havent seen them.
